Dr. Mark Lucas , in Canada, with a large walleye

Welcome to my first effort at blogging.  I am Dr. Mark Lucas and I am the veterinarian at Dardenne Animal Medical Centers. I have been a veterinarian for 25 years  and started Dardenne AMC  in 1983. I mostly treat dogs and cats but do see alot of reptiles, birds and other exotics. I am very excited to share my experiences, cases and opinions on this blog. I have done TV, and radio as well as write a newpaper article , but I want to use this blog to give a more personal view of myself and a veterinary hospital.  We are also starting blogs for obedience, grooming and boarding so you should have plenty to read and share. I would encourage comments and opinions , so stay tuned and check often.

Hi, Doctor.
I had a question for you. My cats are Alex and Nikki. They like to pick and carry around various objects like shoes, pencils, socks, etc.
But when they are carrying these objects around, they start crying and seem to be in an anxious state. And they both do it. What is this behavior occuring? Just curious. Gary Bond
